Memento Park -“In the Shadow of Stalin’s Boots”

img_0130Each time we choose a city, I realise more and more how much this is done really at random.  We learn so much about each place a few days before we arrive, and many times our initial plan for the trip deviates.  Memento Park was one such deviation.  Boxing Day in Budapest had the sun shining, and a purely tropical 8 degree temperature, we decided to explore this intriguing concept of a park.

It was moving, and intriguing, and I think the best way I can explain it is by the poem found in the Visitors Guide.
